Welcome to Evadale ISD!

I am excited to welcome you to our district, where the team at Evadale ISD is dedicated to providing a first-class educational experience. Our district consistently ranks among the top in the area, and we pride ourselves on preparing students for success, whether they’re pursuing higher education or vocational opportunities. I believe we are not just one of the premier educational institutions in our area, but in the state.

Our dedicated staff excels in blending academic rigor with opportunities for student success, all while fostering a safe, family-like environment. Our parents are deeply involved in their children's education and actively support their academic and personal growth.

Beyond academics, our athletic and UIL teams are highly competitive, and we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities for students to explore. Last year, we were district champions in nearly every sport, and we’re continuing that level of success this year. Our students also perform exceptionally well in UIL competitions, with our elementary and junior high students bringing home numerous awards. If you haven’t yet witnessed the community spirit of our homecoming parade, it’s a true celebration you won’t want to miss!

Angela and I have been happily married for 38 years. Our son, Robert, is an engineer with Scout Motor Company, and he and his family (Megan and daughter Sarah) reside in Detroit, Michigan. I’ve had the privilege of working in education for 35 years—9 years as a Business teacher and basketball coach, 18 years as a campus administrator in Texas, and 8 years as a Superintendent. Education is our calling, and we’ve been fortunate to serve in diverse communities across Texas, Oklahoma, and Alaska. Watching our students and communities grow and thrive is one of the most rewarding aspects of this profession, and we love celebrating the achievements of those we serve.

Evadale is a warm, welcoming community that puts the success of its students first. We are currently in the bid phase for an exciting building project and hope to finalize the guaranteed maximum price in March. If all goes as planned, we’ll be breaking ground on a new building soon.
