Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas Scholarship 2023

Each scholarship this year will be in the amount of $2500 deposited into the student’s account at their college. Proof of registration for classes will be required before funds are deposited. These funds may be used for tuition and fees until the entire $2500 is depleted, for no more than four years. If a student changes schools, remaining funds can be transferred; however, if a student drops out of schooling prior to using the whole amount, the remaining portion will be forfeited.

Jasper County Go Texan Scholarship 2023

The Jasper County Go Texan committee is devoted to benefiting youth and supporting education. Through our association and participation with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR), area seniors are granted scholarships each year. The program continues to grow, and many activities have been added. These include promoting Rodeo Houston, competing in the World Championship BBQ Contest prior to the rodeo, as well as quilt and scrapbook contests. We also participate in activities with surrounding counties. Through Jasper County’s participation in the Area Go Texan program, scholarships are earned for local youths. For our efforts in 2021, several Jasper County students were awarded a total of $35,000 in college scholarships. Those funds came from both HLSR and from Jasper County Go Texan locally.

Education First Federal Credit Union 2023

We've made some exciting changes to our scholarship program this year. Keep reading for all the details.
In 2023, Education First Federal Credit Union will award $25,000 in college scholarships to members who meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a current member of Education First FCU
  • Must attend a public or private school in our field of membership (Jefferson, Jasper, Hardin, Orange, Newton and Tyler counties; East Chambers and High Island ISD)
  • Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.25 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Completion of the online application
  • Successful completion of an online financial education module (provided by the credit union)

The electronic application will be available on this page beginning February 1, 2023.  Applications are due on March 31, 2023.
