Our Superintendent
A Message from Superintendent Kevin Shipley
Welcome to Evadale ISD!
I'm Kevin Shipley, the proud Superintendent of Evadale ISD, and on behalf of our entire community, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to you.
Angela and I have been married for 39 years. Our son, Robert, is an engineer with Scout Motor Company, and he and his family (Megan and daughter Sarah) reside in Detroit, Michigan. I’ve had the privilege of working in education for 36 years—9 years as a Business teacher and basketball coach, 18 years as a campus administrator in Texas, and 9 years as a Superintendent. Education is our calling, and we’ve been fortunate to serve in diverse communities across Texas, Oklahoma, and Alaska. Watching our students and communities grow and thrive is one of the most rewarding aspects of this profession, and we love celebrating the achievements of those we serve.
At Evadale ISD, we don't just teach—we prepare students for lifelong success. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing a top-tier educational experience that challenges students academically while fostering a safe, family-like environment where they can thrive.
We consistently rank among the best in our area, a testament to our focus on excellence. But our success goes beyond the classroom. Our students excel in everything they do, from athletics to UIL competitions. We're proud of our many district championships and the countless awards our students bring home, but we're even prouder of their character and teamwork.
We believe that a strong school is built on a strong community. Our parents are our partners in education, and their support is a key part of what makes Evadale ISD so special. Whether it's our annual homecoming parade or a Friday night football game, the spirit of our community is something you have to experience to truly appreciate.
Evadale is a warm, welcoming community that puts the success of its students first. We are currently in the construction phase for an exciting building project. We expect to have the Junior High completed before Thanksgiving and the High School moved to the current Junior High. The foundation for the elementary is in the process of being poured and the demolition of the old high school is scheduled to begin in late November or early December. The scheduled dates for completion of the entire project is the end of November or Early December of 2026.
If you're seeking a top-tier public education for your children, we invite you to explore what Evadale ISD has to offer. For more information about the district or to learn about the details of our bond proposal, please visit our website.
Thank you for considering Evadale ISD, and as always—GO REBELS!
